17 years experience of machine vision inspection and automatic robotic machinery

Established 17 years ago, Sipotek now has 26 Algorithm engineers and 12 mechanical engineers. We own 4 kinds of vision invention patents and 16 utility model patents since then. In 2016, Sipotek earned the name of National Hi-tech enterprise. In 2018, Sipotek was authorized by Sony as the South China Deputy on its industrial cameras.

Background.

Sipotek CEO Mr.Paul Shi, was one of the earliest professional engineers who started to research the machine vision field. He was the chief quality director in Philips China before Sipotek established.

Inspection applications

Our inspection techniques are mainly for Dimensional measurement and External appearance defective inspection. Currently our dimensional measurement accuracy is up to 0.003mm. Our appearance inspection is focusing in surface scratch, mixed color, bur, bur on edges etc. The leading techniques in our inspection is line scan and inner inspection.

Future development

Sipotek will continue moving its step forward on machine vision research and development, especially on AI machine vision algorithms, 3D machine measurement and inner inspection, arc surface measurements.

How we talk with our customers

The first and for most thing is to understand fully what’s our customers’ requirements. Sipotek welcomes every company that want to visit our plant and see the machine demos. Our sales team will following up each customer’s inspection needs from samples testing to order placing. Usually, our engineer will make a solution based on sample testing data in 6 work days and another 3 days for discussion after the solution was sent to customer. The process is not a quick but slow and carefully way. In our past cases, for dimensional measurement, customers need to provide at least 5 pieces of OK products and 15 pieces of NG products. And mark the tolerance of the size you need to inspect. For appearance inspection, the same 5 pieces of OK products, for NG products, customer need to provide at least 3 pieces for each kind of defects, such as surface scratch.. etc.

For production line inspection application

We also design inline system for production line process. After we know what our customers’ requirements, customers need to provide both OK an NG products and a video or picture of the inline process are also necessary. For inline system, it has more technical issues to discuss. We need to know the original mechanism information and resolve the matter to connect. And we need to communicate with customer’s engineers for on site adjustment for technical issues. Currenly for in line projects, our customers are from domensitic, global busuness development is also our coming plans for the company.
